To promote and protect valuable habitat and open spaces throughout the West Traverse landscape and foster compatible land use surrounding Camp Williams.
Establishing a Sentinel Landscape
Who We Are
The West Traverse Community Partnership is a coalition of key stakeholders with shared vision, ideas, and resources to preserve open lands and forestall incompatible development that affects military training in the West Traverse landscape. Partners include key federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofits and businesses, landowners, and any party that has an interest in influencing the future of this area. This is achieved by assisting private landowners, government agencies, and communities in the voluntary preservation of scenic open spaces critical to wildlife populations, agriculture, and military readiness while enhancing recreational opportunities and quality of life initiatives.
